Sacred Journeys into Yoga

„Women’s Tantra:
The Intimate Embrace of Shiva and Shakti“

  • Saturday, November 23rd – 12.30 to 16.30
  • Sunday, November 24th – 8.00 to 14.00

An exploration into the authentic meaning of Tantra through Yoga asana. The Divine Feminine (Shakti) and Masculine (Shiva) are united through the play of Consciousness and Energy within each and every individual Being. In our Yoga practice, we can directly experience this rather than intellectually knowing it and begin to truly integrate that knowledge within the body.

Throughout the class, we will explore the different levels of manifestation within which the yogis call Pancha Maya Kosa and create new pathways of connection to the more subtle layers that can often be ignored. Yet this subtlety and depth is exactly what we are all searching for as therein lies our deep wisdom and blissfulness.

We use the practice of asana (postures) to make these different levels absolutely clear all the way from the physical to the beyond, and start to understand ourselves more deeply. What arises is a greater intimacy and fascination of the totality of who we are and the beautiful realisation that Shiva & Shakti lie within.

Mystical poetry and verses of the ancient text Vijnana Bhairava Tantra are read throughout to inspire and guide us deeper.

About Lorraine Taylor:

From a very young age, Lorraine was fascinated by the beauty of movement and music. Her childhood was spent exploring the body through gymnastics, ice skating and different styles of dance. In her early twenties, a strong calling to the path of Yoga became the catalyst for many deeper realisations in her life and she left everything behind to follow this call.

She has now been a dedicated Yogini and lover of Truth for more than a couple of decades. She specializes in offering an insightful feminine way of practicing Yoga bringing forth her love of Tantra and Kashmir Shaivism. She has also dedicated many years to the study of Jnana (Non Duality), Bhakti (Devotion) as well as Traditional Hatha Yoga which has led her to discover the depths of the Yogic practice, understanding the beauty of the fluid form while investigating the more subtle layers that exist within us. Ultimately pointing to what lies beyond which is the true meaning of Yoga. Union. Oneness. Love.

Her classes are a journey of who we are on every level from the physical to the beyond all shared with a healthy dose of humor and an open heart.

This workshop is open to women only and suitable for all levels of student.
